Pura Vida Fundraiser - Cali Style

In a great example of good vibes spreading, a group of female surfers in Hermosa beach found a copy of the Organic Process - Finding Pura Vida movie on Amazon.com, watched it and were inspired to contribute to the cause. Over the past few months they organized the Pura Vida No Pro Fashion Show Fundraiser which happened in Hermosa Beach, CA on November, 23rd.

Fearless PVNP Media Director, Tim McManus (now with PDA doing full time video business development) took the trip to Cali to participate in the festivities (and of course catch a few waves) and brought back some photos. The event raised several thousand dollars for the Casa De Suenos orphanage in San Jose, CR.

Thanks to everyone who was inspired by the film and took action.

New Orleans Fundraiser @ VooDoo Lounge

Thanks to Elise Poche and the nice folks at the VooDoo lounge for inviting us to their Fat Tuesday celebration. Elise had photos from her St. Bernard Project on display and was selling archival prints to raise money for the project. We had our new DVD's and were giving away OPP stickers like it was going out of style.

We met some super interesting folks from all over the place and saw some old friends including Jonathon Nicholson of A Decent Animal who is on his way to San Francisco with the band and drummer Quentin Baxter who was preparing to beat the skins with his usual bravado. VooDoo is a very hip place with some good people owners; Definitely worth checking out. Some pics from the night below.
