The Soft Papercut: Officially Welcoming Marcus Amaker into the OPP Family
Marcus Amaker has been an unofficial member of OPP for over three years; and we have developed quite a kinship. He was involved in our first multi-media events - Pieces of Sanity and Curious Tales back in 2005 and has done a lot of great design work for us over the years. We have also enjoyed watching him spit poetry and bring some culture to Charleston with his role in CharlestonPoets.com.

Marcus is also working on the tribute Web site for Sekou Sundiata (Righteous Babe recording artist and featured in Ani DiFranco's new poetry book Verses) and will be handling the OPP Hurricane Katrina Media Tour for the last three dates of the Ani DiFranco tour.
The last stop is NYC -- Marcus's first visit. We just hope we can get him to come home. He has been working hard to set up readings and events around his book as he trails Ani back up the East coast. Be sure to say hello to Marcus if you are in Raleigh, Washington DC or the shows at Town Hall in NYC.
